SBDC client, Country Fresh Laundry, LLC is located in Rosebud, TX, recently held its Grand Opening Saturday, June 8, 2019. Country Fresh is the culmination of a 2 year journey for Owners, DeBorah Goffney and Alma Gurski to meet a need for their hometown. They worked with the McLennan SBDC to prepare a business plan including market research, to prepare their business plan for presentation to the Rosebud EDC. They received a $75k loan through the EDC and were able to complete the opening. Country Fresh is a full service coin-operated laundry with 10 front loading washers and 10 heavy duty commercial dryers. They also plan to offer Wash and Fold service to the community and surrounding area. TNK Services, LLC were recognized at the 2019 Salute to Small Business Award Luncheon hosted by the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and the SBA as the 8a Small Business of the year for Dallas/Ft. Worth District by Herb Austin, District Director.
TNK Services, LLC was founded in August 2008 by retired Army veterans, Dagmar and Sherwin Tyner. They pride themselves in being the best lawn care and janitorial services in the Central Texas.
TNK Services was referred to Jason Ehler of the McLennan Small Business Development Center by a local lender in 2014. After working with TNK Services, the SBDC has helped the Tyner’s with business planning, lending assistance, growing their business, becoming 8a Certified, and obtaining additional Federal and State contracts. WACO, Texas, April 9, 2019—Today, Extraco Banks launches its 2019 Extrapreneur Award
program, which focuses on providing Central Texas entrepreneurs and small business owners with a
$25,000 cash prize along with mentorship and business consultations for an entire year.
PALS Home Health was recognized as the program’s inaugural winner during a press conference held on
April 9th. PALS specializes in pediatric home health private duty nursing for children who are
medically dependent. Tyler Martin and Natasha James, owners of PALS Home Health, said being awarded
this program will positively impact the company’s growth for years to come.

owner, the financial resources, business consulting and mentorship that is given to the program’s
winner are invaluable,” said Tyler Martin, Chief Executive Officer for PALS Home Health.
“We plan to use the $10,000 cash prize to purchase a pediatric ventilator system to train our staff
in house instead in the field on patients,” said Natasha James, Chief Operations Officer and
Director of Nursing for PALS Home Health. “We are also very excited for the business consulting and
mentorship. It is hard to have on staff every area of expertise, such as marketing. Being paired
with an Extraco marketing expert for the entire year will significantly make a positive impact on
our company’s expected growth.”
Applications for the 2019 Extrapreneur Award open April 9th and close August 13th. Finalists will
be announced on September 10th, and will be paired with an Extraco mentor to help prepare for the
“Shark Tank®” pitch event on September 24th. The winner will be announced at a banquet on September

franchise, must be a legal entity, owners must be at least 20 years in age, annual revenue not to
exceed $3 million, applicants must have at least 20 percent equity in the company, and the business
must operate in one of the following counties: Bell, Brazos, Coryell, Hamilton, McLennan or
