McLennan Community College (MCC) is a two-year community college in Waco, Texas. MCC is located on a scenic 215-acre campus adjacent to Cameron Park and the Bosque River. In addition to its core transfer curriculum, McLennan Community College provides workforce and continuing education valued by local businesses. MCC has been a long time partner and host institution to the McLennan SBDC.
The Greater Waco Chamber is a business leadership organization that advances a progressive and visionary agenda for economic growth and quality of life. The Chamber prepares and markets Greater Waco for the businesses and jobs of the future and enhances the quality of life of the community by promoting strategic development. The GWCC hosts the Technology Business Briefing at the Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative - an ongoing, Mclennan SBDC co-sponsored event.
The Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC) is the first, and cornerstone, facility of a 21-acre discovery complex that will evolve into the Central Texas Technology and Research Park. It will provide researchers, organizations and private companies with 300,000 square feet of physical space for labs, research centers, industry collaborative space, workforce training and symposia meeting venues. BRIC and its in-house accelerator, LAUNCH co-hosted the 2014 Governor's Small Business Innovation Forum with the Greater Waco Chamber and McLennan SBDC.
LAUNCH offers start-ups and established companies access to the knowledge, networks and financial resources necessary to achieve sustainable market growth. It is located in the Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC), and is the in-house bridge between research, product development and the marketplace. The McLennan SBDC partners with LAUNCH to support small business innovation.
The Clifton Chamber of Commerce maintains an office in downtown Clifton that operates as a hub for the development, acquisition, and promotion of commerce and industry in Clifton. It co-sponsored the 2013 Governor’s Small Business Forum and has hosted “Small Business Office Hours” a service for "Main Street" merchants and entrepreneurs delivered by McLennan SBDC.
The Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation maintains a comprehensive economic development program for Copperas Cove through new industry recruitment, business expansion and retention activity, and small business development. The Copperas Cove EDC and Chamber of Commerce frequently co-host small business education events and forums supported by the McLennan SBDC.
